This holds a lot of truth in it, and is backed up by stats.

There aren't a lot of NOTABLE mainstream portrayals of black girls in an interracial romantic role.

On the other hand you got lots of memes, and anecdotes of black girls being ratchet, ghetto, etc.

You also add on the cultural nuance of asians seeing dark skin as dirty and light skin as attractive, so black girls are even more disadvantaged when they're interested in asian guys.

I really don't care. My last gf was black/native american/irish mix (that I met through this site) and I've also dated black/white mix girl. Both somewhat identified themselves as black.

Of course they are~! All of my long term relationships were with Asian guys. And I'm Black. So..there ya go.

I think it depends on what area you are in/live in. Asian guys, just like any guys, have all different preferences.. not only White or only Asian preferences. I have met some Asian guys who were really into Latinas and took salsa classes and listened to Spanish music.

I met a fob Asian guy who came to the USA to study and tried to make lots of friends with some white people at first, and he had an awful experience with them just being fake friends and just teasing him constantly about his Asian-ness. Then, he became friends with this Black guy and then he became more interested in making all friends that were of color. It depends on the person and their personal experiences. (BTW I am by no means saying all White people are like this or something. There are nice and mean people in EVERY race. It was just his personal experience that he shared with me.)

People who are more open-minded, understanding, and accepting of other races/cultures are the kind of Asian guys that want to expand their dating preferences beyond Asian-Asian relationships.

Without a doubt I would say that there are many. Just like with what everyone is saying before me that it is really based on preference and how open minded the person is. I never dated anyone so I wouldn't know but any guy would be lucky to date any girl.

One of my celebrity crushes, Faith Jenkins, is black and I would date her in a heart beat.

I have a certain type. I like smart well read girls, kind, a bit adventurous but with a certain level headedness. I don't think race ever matters if I actually found them attractive and they were my type. I've been to New York before and there are quite a lot of gorgeous african-american girls. One of the girls I met was darker skinned Tunisian and I really liked her. I am sure that many other asian guys would have also found her physically attractive. It depends on the individual tho.

Like to be honest, I'm not into Oprah or Serena Williams but I think many asian guys in this site would agree deep down that Jaz96 is a cute stunner.
